Winston is a baby whimbrel. He and his father ~ who's tagged, and thereby hangs a tale ~ fly from Iceland to sunnier climes, then back again.
That's pretty much the story, but it's so wittily told, with such winning illustrations, that I fell in love with this slight but richly imagined tale, as I'm sure will many a child and many an adult, reading or simply reading along.
A lovely little story, with a subtle environmental undertone.
